You want to see a therapist who you can connect with, but you don’t want to leave your home or office and take time out of your busy day for counseling.
Privacy is important to you, so you feel more comfortable talking about your problems from the comfort of your home.
You’re looking to see a therapist who can meet with you outside of normal business hours and offers flexible and convenient appointment times.
Research on online therapy shows that it has been as successful as in-person therapy in treating a variety of mental health concerns. So, more and more adults are choosing to use online therapy to take care of their mental health needs. There are so many benefits to online therapy, but the most important is how convenient and flexible it is to see a well-trained professional therapist.
Some of the other benefits of online therapy include:
Non-traditional appointment times including nights and weekends
- The ability to meet online from your home, office, or even on the go.
- No need to sit in traffic to commute to a counseling clinic
- Privacy: you don’t have to be worried about other people from your work, church, or social group seeing you at a therapist’s office.
- Access to a skilled therapist no matter where you live in Florida, even if you live in a rural town.
- The ability to social distance and stay-home during the Coronavirus pandemic.

My Approach to Telehealth at Forever Free Counseling
As a busy professional, I understand how hard it is to carve out more time in your day to go to an appointment. That’s why I offer online therapy for adults living in Florida. I treat online therapy just as I would an in-person appointment by always putting the needs of my clients first. I am confident that I can help you overcome the challenges you’re experiencing. During counseling, I will help you understand yourself, your thoughts, and your emotions to give you greater insight into what’s bothering you. Then, I will use a variety of therapeutic approaches to help you learn to cope with your symptoms and heal the pain you feel.
If you’re seeking online therapy for issues in your relationship, I will meet you and your partner where you are in your relationship, and I will work with you to overcome the issues that are hurting your relationship. I promise to honor both your thoughts and opinions, and the thoughts and opinions held by your partner. I will work with you to understand each other’s perspectives and find common ground. You will leave feeling a renewed sense of happiness in your relationship.
My goal is that you will leave online therapy feeling a sense of relief. You will have a concrete set of skills to cope with emotional distress in a productive and healthy way. Life is full of challenges, and I want you to feel confident that you can overcome them.
Commonly Asked Questions About Online Therapy
What equipment do I need?
To access online therapy all you need a desktop computer, laptop, or smartphone. There’s even an app for your iPad or phone (download Telehealth by Simple Practice for iOS or Android). You may want to use earbuds to improve your audio experience. But, as long as your device has a camera and speakers, you’re good to go!
What if the technology isn’t my strong suit?
No problem. With COVID-19, we’re all getting used to using videos to connect. Our platform is super easy to use, and I am happy to walk you through it.
I don’t like the idea of online therapy, do you still do in-office visits?
Teletherapy can feel super awkward at first, but in no time at all, it becomes more natural. However, if you prefer to come into the office, face to face appointments are available as well as telephone sessions.
What if I have connection or internet issues?
I will attempt to reconnect with you. In the unlikely event that this doesn’t work, I will call you and complete your session over the phone.
Will my session be recorded?
Absolutely not! I take your privacy seriously, whether you’re in the office or in your home.
How do I schedule an online therapy session?
That’s easy! Simply click the How to Get Started link below. Then, you will be directed to my Client Portal where you may easily schedule either a complimentary 15-minute consultation or your first online therapy session.
